Youth & Young Adult Programs
Education Ministry
The purpose of our Bible Education Program is to teach students who God is, God’s purpose for each of us, respect for God and the development of attributes of God’s character in their lives. The students will develop a sense of of oneness, family, unity and friendship. From an evangelistic thrust, the students will learn how to teach others about God. One of the most important responsibilities we have as Christians is to teach others about God. It is unlikely that a person will go to Heaven unless he/she takes someone else- this is personal to evangelism. Please heed the admonition to teach others about Christ (Matthew 28:18 – 30). Our bible classes consist of the following:
-Sunday Bible Class
-Wednesday Night Bible Class
-Women’s Bible Classes
-Vacation Bible School- The purpose of VBS is to reach out to the surrounding community, teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to all ages and nationalities, VBS is set up to be a fun-filled learning experience involving singing, games, arts & crafts and the study of God’s word.

Young Ladies With Power
Young Ladies With Power (YLWP) seek to serve young ladies of the church from ages 7-11. This ministry offers to help develop a healthy respect for God and nurture Christian friendships also to support parents in their efforts to raise Christian young ladies. Our ministry actively seeks the above occurrences through biblical and real world teachings, role-playing, games and age-appropriate activities.
Worth Waiting For
This ministry is designed to capture teenage girls early with biblical knowledge to help them develop Godly decision-making skills. This will aid in building Christian character enabling them to make responsible Godly choices when faced with “at risk” behaviors. The ministry is open to teenage girls ages 13-17 years old.
Youth Group
The Youth Program at Southside (Keeping it R.E.A.L.) is designed to support and encourage our youth in the area of spiritual growth and character development.
We have counselors and teachers who, now and in years past, work diligently in leading our teens through devotionals, bible study, fellowships, etc. The goal is to keep our youth engaged in positive activities that will increase spiritual development and enhance moral strength, which in turn will equip each of them with the skills and desire to share God’s word with teens they encounter on a daily basis.
NOTE: Some of our youth programs have been suspended due to the pandemic. We hope to get them started again soon.
